Taking Theatre and Storytelling to Classrooms Across Kerala
The programme focuses on enhancing students’ communication, creativity, and critical thinking skills through theatre and storytelling practices. By integrating performance, improvisation, and interactive learning methods, ASSET encourages active participation, collaborative learning, and self expression among students. It also helps build confidence, imagination, and social awareness while expanding access to arts education in schools and libraries.
ASSET-Ala Student Skill Enhancing Theatre is a flagship outreach programme of Ala in which trained facilitators visit schools and libraries to engage students through storytelling performances and theatre based workshops. The programme introduces children to the creative possibilities of theatre while creating an interactive learning environment within educational institutions.
